L'Arcada Camp
What is Camp L'Arcada?
Nestled in the beautiful valley of Sant Miquel de Campmajor in Girona, northeastern Spain, at the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, sits L'Arcada Camp. As the only campground in Spain owned and operated by a Christian organization, L’Arcada provides a safe, faith-centered environment where young people can experience adventure, build relationships, and grow in their faith.
Our Partnership
We are honored to partner with Camp L’Arcada and its American football program, supporting a ministry that combines faith, sports, and meaningful relationships. Each summer, children and teens from across Spain and beyond participate in Christ-centered programming featuring outdoor adventure, cultural exchange, sports, and personal growth. Led by passionate Spanish and American leaders, the camp fosters friendships, leadership development, and spiritual growth. Through sports and intentional relationships, campers are introduced to the love of Jesus Christ, while Christian campers are encouraged to deepen their faith. We are grateful to come alongside Camp L’Arcada as they invest in the next generation and share the hope of Christ.
A Home Field for the Gospel
We are currently partnering with Camp L'Arcada in the ambitious goal of constructing a dedicated American football field on the campus to broaden the ministry's reach. This future facility will be designed to propel evangelism by replacing off-site rentals with a permanent home for Catalan American football. Once completed, this first-of-its-kind field in Spain will open new doors to sharing the Gospel through the sport we love.

Is it soccer (fútbol) or American football?
It’s American football (gridiron)! While Spaniards may not necessarily want Americans coaching their soccer (fútbol), American football is a completely different story. Although it’s still a niche sport in Spain, the players who love it are incredibly passionate and eager to learn from experienced American coaches and players.
Do they play full-contact tackle football in Spain?
Yes! Players compete in traditional, full-contact tackle football with pads and helmets. Flag football is also popular and growing, but both men and women participate in fully equipped tackle football as well.
What is the level of athletic ability and experience among Spanish players?
The athletic ability in Spain is outstanding! However, many players—and even local coaches—are still developing their technical knowledge and understanding of American football.Â

Why is coaching from American football players and coaches so valuable in Spain?
American football has a growing community of passionate athletes in Spain, but many players and local coaches have had limited access to advanced training and technical instruction. American coaches bring experience, knowledge, and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes. Through our camps, we help players sharpen their skills, understand the game more deeply, build confidence, and develop meaningful relationships both on and off the field.
